Does ACOD work with Easify Custom Product Options?
Updated · ACOD (E-TRADE PARTNER)
Yes. Easify charges for options either with a virtual add-on price or by linking a real (optionally hidden) add-on product; both ride through the native cart and checkout. ACOD's fee and rules apply to every order, and its order-value rules see the final total including option charges.
4.9 · ACOD does this for you: COD fees plus location, order-value, product, and customer rules.
Try it freeHow Easify charges for options
Easify documents two methods. Add-on Price attaches a virtual surcharge to the option (quick to set up, but incompatible with Shopify discounts per Easify's own docs, and it can show a blank image at checkout). Add-on Product links the option to a real product, optionally hidden from your storefront via a metafield, added as a line item. Shopify displays add-ons as separate line items at checkout. Everything stays inside the native checkout flow.
Quick context on ACOD's side: ACOD works entirely inside the native Shopify checkout through Shopify Functions (payment and delivery customizations). It adds the COD fee as a dedicated shipping rate, links the Cash on Delivery payment method to that rate, and hides or shows COD based on your rules. It adds no theme code and no scripts, so anything that happens before checkout (on your storefront) or after checkout (on placed orders) is outside ACOD's layer and cannot collide with it.
The order-value interaction
One interaction worth knowing, shared by every product options app that charges for options: priced options are added as line items (usually hidden add-on products), so they raise the cart total that the customer checks out with. ACOD's minimum and maximum order-value rules evaluate that final total. That is correct behavior, but if your COD threshold is tight, remember that option fees count toward it.
Independence note
Easify Custom Product Options is built by Easify and has no affiliation with ACOD or E-TRADE PARTNER. App names belong to their owners. This page describes how the two apps behave side by side, based on Easify's public documentation and Shopify's platform documentation, verified on July 5, 2026. Add a COD fee without touching your other apps
ACOD runs on native Shopify Functions inside checkout: no theme code, no scripts, nothing that collides with the rest of your stack.

Frequently asked questions
›Does either Easify charging method skip the Shopify checkout?
No. Both flow through the native cart and checkout, where ACOD's Functions run.
›Is the Add-on Price discount limitation related to ACOD?
No. Easify's docs note that virtual add-on prices do not combine with Shopify discounts; that is an Easify design constraint independent of ACOD.
