Does ACOD work with Infinite Product Options (ShopPad)?

Updated · ACOD (E-TRADE PARTNER)

Yes. Infinite Product Options (formerly Infinite Options) stores options as line item properties and charges for priced options through hidden add-on products bundled in the native cart and checkout. Nothing bypasses checkout, so ACOD's fee and rules apply to every order. The one interaction: option fees raise the total that ACOD's order-value rules evaluate.

4.9 · ACOD does this for you: COD fees plus location, order-value, product, and customer rules.

How Infinite Product Options charges for options

Options are cart line item properties. Priced options use ShopPad's Native Bundling: the option links to a hidden add-on product whose price is grouped with the main product using Shopify's native bundling, or added as a visible separate line item via Product Bundles. Either way, the charge is a normal product flowing through the normal checkout. ShopPad's docs also confirm the app cannot work on draft orders at all, so it never routes buyers into a draft-order checkout.

Quick context on ACOD's side: ACOD works entirely inside the native Shopify checkout through Shopify Functions (payment and delivery customizations). It adds the COD fee as a dedicated shipping rate, links the Cash on Delivery payment method to that rate, and hides or shows COD based on your rules. It adds no theme code and no scripts, so anything that happens before checkout (on your storefront) or after checkout (on placed orders) is outside ACOD's layer and cannot collide with it.

The order-value interaction

One interaction worth knowing, shared by every product options app that charges for options: priced options are added as line items (usually hidden add-on products), so they raise the cart total that the customer checks out with. ACOD's minimum and maximum order-value rules evaluate that final total. That is correct behavior, but if your COD threshold is tight, remember that option fees count toward it.

One housekeeping tip

If a hidden add-on product is left marked as physical, it can influence weight-based shipping calculations. Mark fee products as non-physical (digital) so your shipping rates, including ACOD's COD fee rate zones, stay accurate.

Independence note

Infinite Product Options (ShopPad) is built by ShopPad and has no affiliation with ACOD or E-TRADE PARTNER. App names belong to their owners. This page describes how the two apps behave side by side, based on ShopPad's public documentation and Shopify's platform documentation, verified on July 5, 2026. Add a COD fee without touching your other apps

ACOD runs on native Shopify Functions inside checkout: no theme code, no scripts, nothing that collides with the rest of your stack.

Frequently asked questions

Do priced options bypass the checkout where ACOD runs?

No. They are hidden products in the native cart and checkout. ACOD's Functions see the order like any other.

Will option fees count toward my COD order-value limits?

Yes. ACOD evaluates the checkout total, which includes add-on line items. Set your thresholds with that in mind.
